Ceasar Garcia*
(49 years New York, NY)

Ceasar is actually a friend of mine. We have known each other since he came to Barcelona for a holiday some time ago. He likes his life, he loves making people laugh and finds the good in everyone. When asked why he thinks he is happy, he cannot really answer because happiness simply comes from inside of you. He just feels it and that's it. I asked him about some happy moment he just had on his mind - he mentioned his great grandmother who makes him feel special whenever he comes to see her. Ceasar thinks you should live your life  being carefree, life should be fun without stress and when there comes something bad, well, you should take the best out of it. "Life has lots of twist and turns," he says. It is not possible to forget the bad times butyou  should not take things too seriously, you have to move on.

Tobias Krafczyk*
(33 years , Leipzig, Germany)

A simple question about some books started my conversation with Tobias who worked in a gallery bookshop. At the beginning it was him who asked. About where I came from and whether I liked the exhibition. Tobias was relaxed but lively and full of energy. I asked him whether he was always like that. He told me he was and that the reason was his little daughter. She is the sense of his life and watching her growing up is the source of his happiness.

Richard Nadolny*
(21 years, Hamburg, Germany)

Listening to music - in his free time, on his way to work, wherever and whenever he can. Being in touch with music even at work - selling tickets for different genres of music events, from rock to opera, you simply cannot avoid it. And that is what reminds Richard that he is happy. Music and a great many friends that he has. ¨Life is a nice experience¨ he describes his attitude to his presence in this world. Life is an experience and Richard is happy to be part of it and experiences all the good and bad sides of it with enthusiasm.

Ingrid Zimmermann*
(69 years, Köln, Germany)

Ingrid is married, has no children and she lived at many places all over the world.
During my trip to Germany I met Ingrid at the counter of the counter of the Ludwig Museum. Having entered the museum I saw her shinig face and I knew she would be the one to start my project with. ingrid believes happiness comes from inside of you. sadness is just a kind of a sickness and having once admitted you are sad and decided to change it, you can start the work on becoming permanently happy. To feel happy, as she does, her family were of great help. her parents always suported her in doing what she liked, they let her be herself and provided her with love and security even in the turbulent times of the history.
Ingrid decided to not to have any children so that she could share and enjoy her happiness with her husband only.
